Welcome to our first installment in the "Exploring the Art of 5Church" Series. Today, we're introducing you to a truly unique and mesmerizing piece - the "Twisted Tree" by North Carolina artist Brant Harris.
Imagine walking into 5Church Buckhead and seeing a beautiful, 500-pound peach tree suspended from the ceiling, upside down. That's exactly what you'll find with the "Twisted Tree." This one-of-a-kind sculpture was created using a live peach tree that was carefully pulled from the ground in Asheville, NC and transformed into a work of art.
Installing this massive piece wasn't easy - it took a team of multiple men and a lift to carefully hang the "Twisted Tree" from the ceiling. But the end result is truly breathtaking.
But the "Twisted Tree" isn't just a visual feast for the eyes. It's also steeped in meaning and symbolism. The peach tree has long been associated with longevity and is believed to have properties that ward off evil. In fact, ancient warriors even crafted weapons from peach wood.
And if that wasn't enough, the "Twisted Tree" is adorned with over 300 sparkling crystal pendants, adding even more beauty and allure to this already breathtaking piece.

To fully immerse yourself in the "Twisted Tree" experience, we've created a cocktail with the same name, inspired by the art piece. The "Twisted Tree" cocktail is made with Coppercraft whiskey, plum, sage, orange, and plum bitters. While it was originally made with peaches, we like to change up the ingredients depending on what is freshest and in season.
